| I was born in Belfast in 1953, and
studied Art and Design at Jordanstown Polytechnic, N.Ireland,
and at Maidstone College of Art in Kent. I trained to be an art teacher at Goldsmiths College in London, and have been teaching art since then in primary and secondary schools, and a further education college. Exhibitions of my artwork have included a piece at the Royal Academy, London, and a one person exhibition of paintings and drawings at Aberdeen University. I have made illustrations for numerous publications, including educational material, and drawings for a book of short stories about a boy's experiences during World War II. The idea for Make and Imagine came around 1999-2000, when I wanted to create something to encourage the creativity of the young. I am currently doing an MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College, London - watch this space for examples! (May 2004) |
